			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As a kid I loved to sit with a pad of paper and some felt tips and draw comics; pretty awful ones to be honest, but I must have learned something about crafting a coherent narrative and obviously writing was involved, so it was an informal learning experience.  Nowadays though you can create your own comic series and even if they plot is dull, there are loads of ways to at least make the presentation sparkle a little more than my felt tip pen doodles of many years ago with online tools such as <a href="http://www.comiqs.com">www.comiqs.com</a> or <a href="http://www.pixton.com">www.pixton.com</a></p>
<p>If you&#8217;d rather read than write, then there&#8217;s a <a href="http://www.onlinecomics.net/pages/">directory </a>for you to browse through, be warned though that all of human life is there, so best not to direct your pupils there.</p>
